Spearheading this marketplace is Safety Insurance, which led all carriers with a 13.81% share of direct written premiums, followed by Commerce Insurance (12.11%) and Arbella (12.01%).

Together, the state’s five largest commercial auto insurers accounted for more than half of the market’s direct written premium, while the top 10 insurers represented nearly three-quarters of the market.
