Trusted Choice To Host Virtual On-Line Tradeshow in October

October 3, 2014 by AC Editor

The virtual tradeshow is open to any Trusted Choice Agencies, Choice Company and MGA Partners

Trusted Choice will hold a virtual on-line trade show for its member agencies and choice companies this month on Wednesday, October 22nd and Thursday, October 23rd. The tradeshow dubbed the “Trusted Choice Virtual Experience” is like a physical tradeshow in that one attends the show from one’s computer rather than on foot. The benefit is that agents and other attendees can gain information and contacts from any access point that has the Internet rather than having to travel to the show.

The Big “I” says that once the show is “live” attendees will be able to do the following:

  • Chat with booth staff at the insurance exhibit booths to get your questions answered in real time.
  • Take advantage of insurance industry experts who offer presentations on leading insurance topics.
  • Log in and out of the show as many times as you like.

The following video highlights show how attendees can navigate the virtual trade show. So far, there are six different presentations that will be taking place during the two day show, and a sampling of the exhibitors who will be presenting their include Docusign, Travelers, Project CAP, The Hartford, MetLife, and Acadia Insurance. A complete list of the presentations and exhibitors for the show is available here.

The following is an informative video that the Big “”I” has created to better explain how the show works:

Why attend a virtual on-line trade show?

While a virtual trade show will never match the level of face-to-face meeting and networking that a traditional trade-show provides (not to mention the cocktail hours), it does have some merits. Most importantly, it is an inexpensive and time-efficient way for agents to gain more information and resources. As for vendors, it allows small and medium companies to be on equal footing with major company vendors, as all booth sizes are basically the same. The result is that attendees have a greater chance to source new companies, particularly up-and-coming as well as specialty vendors in a virtual venue.

As we are always on the outlook for things that might be beneficial and economically-viable for all agents in Massachusetts, this looks like it might be an interesting tradeshow to try out. At least, you won’t have to fight the traffic to get to it.
