Based on our proprietary data for Q2-2024, the following is a list of insurance agency acquisitions in Massachusetts. While M&A Activity during Q1-2024 remained relatively active, Q2-2024 has seen a huge slowdown in comparison to past years.
- While there were a total of seven insurance agency mergers and acquisitions announced in New England during the first quarter of 2024, only three were announced during Q2-2024.
- Q2-2023 saw nine agency acquisitions, three each month, as opposed to Q2-2024, which had a total of three: one for April, two for May, and no reported transactions during June.
- Looking at the first half of 2024, there have been a grand total of 10 transactions with January having been the busiest month and June the slowest.
