Based on our proprietary data for Q3-2024, below is Agency Checklists’ updated a list of insurance agency acquisitions in Massachusetts and New England. It should be noted that merger & acquisition activity in Massachusetts and New England has remained relatively stable during 2024.
Year-to-date, there has been a total of 18 insurance agency acquisition
The following are some take-aways from the updated listing:
- There were a total of eighteen insurance agency mergers and acquisitions announced in New England during the first three quarter of 2024 as compared to the eighteen agency acquisitions announced during the same quarter in 2023.
- January and July tied for the busiest month for M&A Activity with four agency acquisition announcements each.
- Massachusetts agencies with the most acquisitions so far in 2024 are Kaplansky with three, and the Deland, Gibson and Duffy Insurance agencies with two each. National insurance Hub also announced two agency acquisition in our region this year.
