Based on our proprietary data for Q4-2024, below is Agency Checklists’ updated a list of insurance agency acquisitions in Massachusetts and New England. It should be noted that merger & acquisition activity in Massachusetts and New England has remained relatively stable during 2024.
In 2024, a total of 26 insurance agency acquisitions were announced via Agency Checklists
The following are some take-aways from the updated listing:
- There were a total of 26 insurance agency mergers and acquisitions announced in New England during all four quarters of 2024.
- January and July tied for the busiest month for M&A Activity with four agency acquisition announcements each.
- Kaplanksy Insurance was the top buyer this year with six agency acquisitions announced during 2024
- After Kaplansky, Deland, Gibson and Duffy Insurance agencies were the top buyers each with two agency acquisitions apiece. National Insurance Hub also announced two agency acquisition in our region this past year.
